Pepperhem was started in 2008 by Brooklyn artist and designer Erica Levine. Erica screenprints her designs by hand on t-shirts, baby onesies and the occasional totebag.

Erica was born in NYC, where she attended LaGuardia High School of Music and Art before earning a BFA at the School of Visual Arts. After a short career of teaching art and special education, she decided to start a small business that would allow her to be at home with her son Sammy. She spends her days taking care of him, and her nights drawing and printing while he sleeps.

Erica’s designs are inspired by vintage goods, nature, and the vibrant culture that New York City has to offer. She is currently living in Brooklyn with her husband and son.
